Gabriel Draven is a Toronto based entrepreneur with an MBA from the Schulich School of Business York University. In 2001 he was co-awarded the school's top prize for strategy for work undertaken with Toronto based anti-poverty organization, the Daily Bread Food Bank. He is known for his work in the environmental community and is President of renewable energy company, Village Technologies, initiated by him and Greg Bonser, in the spring of 2003.
He is the former President of the Green Party of Ontario. He ran in the 2003 Ontario provincial general election for the Green Party of Ontario and ran federally in the 2004 federal general election for the Green Party of Canada, both times in the riding of Toronto Centre.
His writings on business, the environment and sustainability have appeared in the Globe and Mail, Corporate Knights Magazine and HR.com.
He is active in supporting Net Impact, a campus-based movement in North America's business schools to promote ethical and sustainable business practices.
