Claudia Ellquist is a retired attorney and co-chair of both the Arizona Green Party and the Green Party of Pima County. [1] [2] Ellquist ran for Pima County Attorney in 2004, receiving 23,028 votes for 7.64% of the total vote [1]. Her campaign focused mainly on a four-year moratorium of the death penalty. [3]

Family life and educationEdit

Elliquist was born in Duluth, Minnesota. She received a bachelor's degree in 1973 and law degrees in 1976 from the University of Arizona. She resides in Tucson, Arizona. [3]

Career and public serviceEdit

Ellquist is active with the National Organization for Women and Church Women United, and was a founding Commissioner of the Arizona Clean Elections Commission.[3] She is currently Executive Director for the Coalition of Arizonans to Abolish the Death Penalty.
